Mobile Beach Library

Going to the beach just isn’t the same without a good book, which is why Matali Crasset decided to make the mobile pop-up beach library. The Biblioteque de plage, as it is called, features a central library with an overhead canopy that keeps both books and readers out of the sun. Along its perimeter, three alcoves have been setup that invite people to grab a book, sit down, and rest in the shade. The library has over 300 titles to choose from, all of which have been selected by Matali Crasset to fit the occasion. The beach library can be found in d’Istres, France along La Romaniquette.
