Incredibly Tiny Things On Google Maps

Incredibly Tiny Things On Google Maps

This is the flight path. UTA Flight 772 was a scheduled flight operating from Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo to Paris CDG airport in France.

The flight never made it.

All on board perished.

18 years later, families of the victims gathered at the crash site to build a memorial.

Due to the remoteness of the location, pieces of the wreckage could still be found at the site.

The memorial was created by Les Familles de l’Attentat du DC-10 d’UTA, an association of the victims’ families along with the help of local inhabitants.

The memorial was built mostly by hand and uses dark stones to create a 200-foot diameter circle .

Two Brothers Smile With Santa for 34 Years

Two Brothers Smile With Santa for 34 Years

The holidays are always steeped in tradition, but these two brothers from Holliston, Mass. have taken sitting on Santa’s lap to a lifelong level. “We’re stuck,” the younger brother, Martin Gray, now 30, told GoodMorningAmerica.com of their annual photo opp. “We don’t really have a choice at this point.” It innocently began in 1980 with older brother, Mike, as a simple, seasonal snapshot organized by their mom, and has snowballed into a full-grown holiday mission with both brothers throughout the years. “My mom always did it and we never gave it much thought,” said Gray, but “it came to the point where we can’t really stop this since we’ve done it for 12 years.” Year after year, no matter where they were located, the brothers always made it a point to get together to quickly pose with the jolly big man. “Sometimes my brother had to scramble to come home from college and I’d just have to meet him at some random mall,” said Gray. Now, 34 years later, the Santa photo-taking torch has been passed onto a whole new generation of kids. “This will be their problem to deal with,” Gray laughed, adding, “Our mom thinks it’s hysterical, and it’s all about making mom happy.”
